Morning light filtered into the greenhouse around 6:00 AM, gradually warming the air and increasing light intensity. By 8:30 AM, ambient light had climbed to 260.8 lux, marking the start of a bright day. The air remained comfortably dry, hovering between 41.6% and 45.2% humidity as the sun continued to warm the space.

Our basil and oregano are showing signs that they need attention. Both plants started the morning with soil moisture levels near 40%, which dipped slightly by mid-morning. While not yet critical, the basil soil dropped from 40.59% to 40.25% during the observation period. We will keep a close watch on these levels over the next few hours to ensure they do not drop further before the next watering cycle.

In stark contrast, the chilli plant is sitting comfortably in a much wetter environment. Its soil moisture remained remarkably stable, fluctuating only between 78.47% and 78.59%. This high moisture content suggests the chilli is well-hydrated and not currently under stress, likely due to the consistent water retention in its potting mix.

The greenhouse temperature tracked the ambient rise, moving from 19.02°C up to a peak of 20.48°C before settling back down slightly. The water reservoir also cooled down over the course of the morning, ending at 17.88°C. With the weather looking stable and pressure holding steady at 1009 hPa, the greenhouse remains a calm and productive space for our herbs.
