Sunny Afternoon at Herb Hub 365

Today, August 2nd, the greenhouse warmed up significantly as the afternoon progressed. After a cool morning low of 15.06°C, the ambient temperature climbed to a peak of 31.25°C. Despite this external heat, our basil, chilli, and oregano remained comfortable, with internal plant temperatures topping out at a more moderate 22°C.
Intense sunlight fueled the day, with light levels peaking at over 17,200 lux during the brightest hours. This influx of energy led to a noticeable shift in the atmosphere; humidity started at a moist 50.2% but dipped to a much drier 25.3% by our final reading.
The plants are responding beautifully to these summer conditions. Our basil shows impressive vigor, with thick, bright green leaves filling the left side of the frame. On the right, the chilli plant is making great progress, and a small, green fruit is now clearly visible nestled among the leaves near its wooden support stake.
Everything remains well-hydrated, with soil moisture sensors for the basil, chilli, and oregano all holding steady at 100%. While we are currently between reservoir readings, the vibrant foliage and steady growth confirm that the herbs are thriving in the heat.
