Herb Hub 365 Greenhouse Update: A Dry and Sunny Afternoon

The afternoon sun brought a noticeable shift in the greenhouse atmosphere today. While morning humidity started at a comfortable 40.7%, the dry air of the day pushed the average down to 36.2%, dipping as low as 33.5%. As the sun began to set, humidity crept back up slightly, ending the day at 37.4%.
The plants responded well to the warmth, with the internal environment reaching a peak of 25.05°C before cooling down to 23.54°C by evening. Inside the growing beds, the basil and oregano remained cool and stable, hovering around 21.5°C and 21.3°C respectively, while the chilli plant tracked closely with the room temperature.
The water reservoir stayed a steady 18.7°C, providing a cool root zone for the herbs throughout the fluctuating afternoon heat. Soil moisture levels showed some interesting movement, with the basil seeing a gradual decline as evaporation took its toll while the oregano remained consistent.
However, the chilli plant provided a dramatic story; after starting the day at 34.3% moisture, it received a significant water boost by late afternoon, surging to 61.32% by the time the sun fully set.
