The morning sun has finally broken through the greenhouse glass, bringing a gentle warmth to our growing space. Temperatures have climbed steadily throughout the day, starting at a cool 20.1°C and reaching a pleasant 23.5°C by midday. Inside the pots, our herbs are enjoying a similar rise, with basil and oregano warming up to over 21°C, while the chilli plant sits comfortably around 21.3°C.

Light levels have been a bit variable this morning, fluctuating between 35 and 841 lux as clouds drifted in and out. Despite the fluctuating light, the greenhouse is maintaining a healthy humidity balance. We are seeing average humidity levels around 36%, which has dipped slightly toward the afternoon, ending the day at 33.6%. The atmospheric pressure has also been steady, hovering near 996 hPa before climbing to 998 hPa as the day progressed.

Our soil moisture sensors are providing a clear picture of hydration levels across the garden. The oregano is holding up well with moisture levels near 50%, while the basil sits comfortably around 45%. The chilli plant is the most thirsty of the group, currently hovering between 35% and 37%. Since the water reservoir readings are not yet available, we will keep a close eye on the chilli to ensure it does not dry out too quickly as the afternoon heat increases.

Overall, the conditions are looking stable and favorable for growth. The rising temperatures are helping to push photosynthesis along, even if the light intensity has been a little patchy. We will continue to monitor the chilli’s soil moisture closely to decide if a top-up is needed before the evening settles in.
