The greenhouse saw a significant climb in activity and warmth throughout the morning of June 18, 2026. Starting from a comfortable 23.3°C at 6:00 AM, the ambient temperature reached a peak of 31.73°C just after midday. This rise in heat was accompanied by a shift in humidity, which began at a lush 55.9% before settling down to a drier 36.6% during the warmest part of the day.

Light levels followed a similar upward trend, providing our herbs with a healthy dose of energy. We recorded a peak of 5325 lux around noon, a substantial increase from the early morning light of approximately 292 lux. Throughout these environmental shifts, the atmospheric pressure remained remarkably steady, hovering between 1010 and 1012 hPa.

Our plants showed varying responses to the midday sun. The Basil remained perfectly saturated, holding a consistent 100% soil moisture level all morning. The Chilli saw a slight decrease in moisture, moving from 83.76% to 80.72%. Meanwhile, the Oregano was the most active consumer of water, with its soil moisture dropping from a high of 71.98% to 57.28% by 12:30 PM.

Despite the air temperature climbing above 31°C, the herbs themselves stayed relatively cool. The Oregano reached a maximum temperature of 25.56°C, while the Chilli remained the coolest of the group, peaking at 24.38°C. It was a productive, high-energy start to the day here at Herb Hub 365, and we are keeping a close eye on the Oregano’s drying soil as the afternoon progresses.
