It has been a bright and active morning here at the greenhouse. Since our initial 6:00 AM readings, we have watched a steady climb in both light and warmth. While the day began at a cool 20.33°C, temperatures reached a peak of 26.71°C by midday as the sun moved overhead.

The increase in light has been dramatic, jumping from an early 130 lux to a vibrant 822.5 lux. This surge of sunshine naturally caused humidity to dip from 38.2% down to 30.1%. It is a classic clear-day pattern that keeps the herbs active and the environment feeling crisp.

Soil sensors indicate the plants are drinking steadily to keep up with the heat. Our Oregano remains the most hydrated at 48.28%, while the Basil has dipped to 38.81% and the Chilli sits at 43.45%. Individual plant temperatures have risen alongside the ambient air, with the Basil reaching 23.13°C by the afternoon.

System water has stayed remarkably consistent, averaging 19.75°C despite the warming air. While specific reservoir levels were not recorded this afternoon, the steady decline in soil moisture across all three beds suggests our herbs are making the most of this May sunshine.
