It has been a productive day in the greenhouse as temperatures climbed steadily from a cool 20.33°C this morning to a vibrant peak of 28.7°C. The bright afternoon sun provided a warm environment for the herbs, with light levels reaching a strong 1391.7 lux. This abundance of sunshine was accompanied by relatively dry air, as humidity averaged 33.37% while atmospheric pressure dipped slightly toward 1012 hPa.

The herbs are responding to the afternoon heat with predictable changes in soil moisture. The oregano remains the most hydrated at 46.66%, while the basil has dried out the most, ending the day at 36.15%. The chilli plants are sitting comfortably in the middle at 42.09% moisture, showing a steady rate of transpiration as they worked through the peak of the day.

Despite the high air temperatures, the plants have stayed relatively cool. The basil reached a high of 26.06°C, while the oregano and chilli both peaked just above 25.5°C. Our water supply has remained remarkably stable and refreshing at an average of 20.05°C, providing a perfect resource to hydrate the herbs as we head into the evening.
