As April 30 progressed, the Herb Hub 365 greenhouse saw a steady climb in both light and temperature. Sensors recorded a significant jump in brightness, peaking at 825.8 lux by midday. This surge in sunshine pushed ambient temperatures from a mild 22.12°C to a warm 25.79°C, creating a vibrant, active environment for the herb beds.

With the rising heat, humidity levels naturally dipped, drying from 38.8% in the morning to 27% by the afternoon. Atmospheric pressure also showed a slight downward trend, settling at 1019 hPa. These shifting conditions are characteristic of a clear afternoon, signaling that the plants are beginning to work harder to regulate their internal temperatures.

Soil moisture levels across the beds reflected this increased activity as the plants drew water to keep pace with the warmth. Oregano remains the most hydrated at 54.48%, while the Chilli bed sits at 49.3%. Basil saw the most notable decrease, ending the session at 45.63% moisture. Despite the warm air, the water reservoir has remained consistently cool at 19.17°C.

Individual plant temperatures tracked closely with the ambient environment, with Basil reaching 23.25°C and the Chilli staying slightly cooler at 22.69°C. As the day transitions toward evening, we will continue monitoring these levels to ensure soil moisture remains within a healthy range for the overnight hours.
