Timelapse image for April 30, 2026

It was a calm morning in the greenhouse on April 30th. Between 8:30 and 9:00 AM UTC, we observed a gentle warming trend as the ambient temperature rose from 22.12°C to 22.72°C. Humidity remained remarkably steady, hovering around 38.75% and providing a stable atmosphere for the herbs to start their day.

Sunlight filtered in more strongly during this brief window, with light levels increasing from 220 to 241.7 lux. Atmospheric pressure held firm at 1021 hPa, creating a peaceful environment for the basil, chilli, and oregano to begin their morning growth cycles.

Soil moisture levels show the oregano is currently the most hydrated at 56.01%, followed by the chilli at 50.34% and basil at 48.00%. We noticed a slight decrease in moisture across all three plants as the morning progressed—a natural sign of the herbs beginning their daily respiration. The plants remained slightly cooler than the surrounding air, with leaf temperatures averaging between 20.22°C and 20.47°C.

The water reservoir was the coolest spot in the greenhouse, averaging 19.09°C. While we did not record specific volume data during this snapshot, the consistent soil moisture suggests the plants are well-supported. We look forward to watching these trends develop as the sun continues to climb.
