A Warm Afternoon in the Greenhouse

The afternoon sun brought a gentle rise in temperature to the Herb Hub 365 greenhouse. By midday, the ambient environment warmed from a cool 20.3°C to a pleasant 24.65°C. The individual pots tracked this shift closely, with basil, chilli, and oregano all climbing steadily in the warmth.
While the heat increased, the air remained relatively dry. Humidity dipped from a morning high of 41.1% down to 36.3% as the day progressed, a typical pattern for a sunny afternoon. Despite the drop in moisture, the soil moisture levels remained reassuringly stable.
Basil held steady at around 63% while oregano sat comfortably near 58%. The chilli plant showed the most noticeable change in its soil hydration, dropping from a robust 48.77% to 45.72% over the course of the day. Although still within a safe range, this gradual decline suggests the plants are actively drawing up water to cope with the warming air.
Light levels climbed significantly as the sun moved higher, peaking at 624 lux by the end of the observation window. The atmospheric pressure settled into a steady pattern, hovering just under 1019 hPa before evening out around 1018 hPa. It was a calm, productive period for the herbs, with the water reservoir holding firm and the plants thriving in the gentle spring light.
