The morning sun began its ascent over our greenhouse around mid-morning, bringing a noticeable shift to the environment. We started with temperatures hovering near 19°C and humidity levels at their peak for the day, but by early afternoon, both metrics had climbed steadily as we approached noon.

Inside the pots, the basil plants tracked closely with these environmental shifts, rising from about 19°C to a comfortable 22.4°C by midday. The chilli and oregano followed suit well, maintaining steady warmth throughout the session while humidity dropped slightly in response to the increasing heat without causing any distress.

Soil moisture levels showed a gentle decline across all our herbs as they utilized their water reserves for growth and transpiration. The basil started at 53% saturation and settled near 51%, while the oregano dipped just under 54%. Our chilli plants, which typically run drier in this setup, saw a modest decrease from roughly 35% to about 32.6%, remaining well within their preferred range for healthy development.

Light levels provided excellent conditions for photosynthesis today, swinging dramatically as the sun moved across our sensors before settling into steady afternoon light. With pressure rising gently in the background, it was a quiet but productive stretch of time that left all three herbs looking vibrant and ready for tomorrow’s cycle.
