Greenhouse Update: A Calm Afternoon in the Grow Room

The afternoon sun brought a gentle warmth to the Herb Hub 365 greenhouse, raising the air temperature from a comfortable 19.5°C in the morning to a peak of 24.47°C by late afternoon. Inside the grow beds, the herbs tracked this rise closely, with basil and oregano reaching highs near 22.7°C before settling down as the light levels began to fade. Meanwhile, the water reservoir remained stable around 18.7°C, ensuring a cool base for the roots even as the air warmed up.
Humidity levels reflected the dry spring air, starting at 43.8% and gradually drifting down to 38.7% by the end of the monitoring period. While the air felt crisp and clear, the pressure readings showed a nice upward trend, climbing from 1003 hPa to 1016 hPa. This rising pressure suggests stable weather conditions, a reassuring sign for the plants as they continue their daily cycle of growth and transpiration.
One plant that stood out today was the chilli, which maintained a soil moisture level noticeably lower than its neighbors. Its moisture percentage dipped from 35.2% to 31.1% over the course of the day, while the basil and oregano stayed comfortably hydrated between 50% and 53%. The chilli’s soil is still holding on, but it is drawing more water than the others, a testament to its active growth and thirst for the afternoon sun.
As the light levels dipped toward evening, dropping from a bright 1369 lux to a cozy 87.5 lux, the greenhouse settled into a quiet rhythm. The basil and oregano soil moisture levels remained robust, showing no signs of stress despite the fluctuating conditions. It is a peaceful evening in the grow room, with the plants resting and the sensors recording the steady, healthy pulse of life within the greenhouse.
