Timelapse image for April 2, 2026

The morning sun began to break through gently around mid-morning on April 2nd, waking up our plants as light levels climbed from a quiet dawn glow. By early afternoon, the greenhouse was basking under strong illumination with readings reaching nearly 750 lux before settling into a comfortable range for the rest of the day. The air warmed steadily alongside it, climbing from an initial cool start to peak temperatures near 22°C by midday.

Inside the pots, our herbs responded well to the warming trend. Basil and chilli plants tracked closely with the ambient environment, while oregano maintained a steady presence in between. It is fascinating how quickly the air temperature shifted as light intensified; we saw a nice rise from roughly 18°C at dawn to nearly 22°C by early afternoon before evening approaches.

Moisture levels remained stable and healthy across all our crops. Basil soil held its moisture well, staying comfortably above fifty percent throughout the day. Chilli plants needed less water overall but kept their hydration steady in the low thirties. Oregano showed a slight dip as it warmed up, dropping from nearly forty-eight to just below thirty-nine percent by afternoon, which is perfectly normal for this species under these conditions.

As we wrap up our observations for today, everything appears balanced and thriving. The pressure remained consistent at around 1017 hPa with no signs of storms on the horizon. We will continue monitoring as evening approaches to ensure humidity stays comfortable overnight before checking in again tomorrow morning.
