Greenhouse Diaries: A Quiet Start to March in the Herb Hub

The morning sun began its gentle climb over our greenhouse on Wednesday, waking up Basil and Oregano at a steady eighteen degrees. By mid-morning, temperatures warmed nicely above twenty degrees as natural light shifted from dim pre-dawn shadows into bright daylight. The chilli plant settled comfortably between them, maintaining a slightly cooler but perfectly healthy zone around seventeen point nine degrees throughout the early hours.
Inside our soil beds, moisture held steady across all three herbs without any signs of stress or overwatering. Basil remained well-hydrated at sixty-five percent capacity while Oregano sat just above fifty-four percent and Chilli hovered near forty-five percent. The water reservoir itself showed no significant change in volume during these early readings, suggesting a stable hydration cycle with plenty of reserves available for the plants to draw upon as they grow.
Outside conditions remained calm with atmospheric pressure rising gently from one thousand fifteen hectopascals toward noon before leveling out again. Humidity stayed within a comfortable band around forty-four percent, creating an ideal microclimate that prevents fungal issues while keeping leaves crisp and green. With light levels fluctuating between low morning mist and strong midday sun, the plants are receiving exactly what they need to thrive in this transitional spring weather.
