The morning sun climbed early at Herb Hub 365, bringing natural illumination from low levels up to over 170 lux by mid-morning and peaking near noon. As the brightness increased, so did the greenhouse air temperature, warming steadily from just under 20°C to a comfortable high of roughly 22°C by early afternoon.

However, this warmth came with drier air than usual for our plants. Humidity dropped significantly throughout the day, falling from around 41% at dawn down to about 33% in the late hours we recorded. This dry spell is particularly noticeable when looking at soil moisture readings; while basil remained comfortably hydrated near 82%, chilli and oregano saw their levels dip into the high 30s.

These thirsty plants will need attention soon if rain does not fall later this week. Meanwhile, the water reservoir stayed cool relative to the air temperature, hovering just under 18°C throughout our observation window with stable pressure in the mid-1017 hPa range suggesting no immediate storm systems are approaching. Keep an eye on those chilli plants while they soak up that bright light; tomorrow will be interesting to see if soil levels recover or require supplemental watering.
