March 26: A Steady Start in Greenhouse One
The morning inside our greenhouse began quietly with temperatures hovering comfortably at twenty degrees Celsius by seven o’clock. As the day progressed, ambient warmth climbed steadily toward a peak of nearly twenty-one before settling back down by mid-morning. The individual plants tracked these shifts closely; basil and chilli pots remained in their high teens throughout, while oregano experienced only a slight dip towards the end of our observation window.
Light levels were gentle but consistent as we monitored the space between seven and eight-thirty AM. Starting at just over one hundred lux, natural illumination increased gradually to nearly one hundred eighty by the final reading. This steady rise provided perfect conditions for early photosynthesis without any sudden spikes or drops that might stress our young seedlings.
Moisture levels remained remarkably stable across all three growing beds during this short window. Basil soil stayed exceptionally hydrated at ninety percent, while chilli and oregano maintained their moisture in the low fifties with only minor fluctuations between readings. The water reservoir held steady as well, keeping its temperature consistent throughout the session without any signs of evaporation or depletion that would require immediate attention.
Overall, it was a calm morning for our herb garden where environmental conditions stayed within ideal ranges. With pressure holding firm and humidity levels balancing nicely around forty percent, everything appears ready to move into full daylight mode as we look forward to tomorrow’s readings.
