The morning began with a gentle hum from our sensors, capturing three snapshots of life inside Herb Hub 365 between 11:40 and 11:52. The atmosphere felt crisp yet stable, with ambient humidity hovering just above 34%. While this dry air is typical for early spring, the climate-controlled space kept everything balanced despite the season’s usual chill.

Inside the grow area, temperatures remained comfortably consistent across all plants and water reservoirs. Basil settled around a cool 21.7°C, while chilli and oregano sat slightly warmer at roughly 21.8°C. The water bath stayed steady near 19°C, ensuring that our roots never faced shocking temperature swings as the sun moved across the sky.

Light levels told an interesting story of a passing cloud or shifting angle; readings dipped from nearly 936 lux down to about 425 lux over twenty minutes. Despite these fluctuations in illumination intensity, pressure remained constant at 1002 hPa, suggesting steady weather outside our glass walls.

Soil moisture levels offer perhaps the most interesting comparison today. Basil is soaking wet with readings above 91%, which keeps its roots cool and hydrated for rapid growth. In contrast, chilli sits comfortably in the mid-57% range, while oregano maintains a drier environment around 50%. These distinct zones remind us that each herb has its own unique thirst level even when sharing the same room.
