Greenhouse Update: March 25th – A Quiet Day for the Plants
The morning at Herb Hub 365 was remarkably steady, with temperatures hovering comfortably in the low twenties. The ambient air settled around 24°C, while our basil felt slightly cooler and oregano just a fraction warmer nearby. It is that familiar calm rhythm of early growth where nothing urgent demands attention yet everything remains vibrant.
Moisture levels held their own across the board, though each plant has its own needs today. The basil pot stayed delightfully damp at over 91%, which keeps it lush and ready for harvesting tomorrow. Meanwhile, chilli sat around 58% moisture while oregano rested near 50%. These differences remind us that even in a shared space, every herb tells a slightly different story of thirst and comfort.
Light levels played their usual game as the sun moved across the sky, shifting from bright morning rays to softer afternoon light. Humidity remained dry but stable at roughly 34%, which was fine for now without any need for extra misting or ventilation adjustments. The water reservoir has not changed significantly since our last check-in; it still holds plenty of reserve volume for us all next week.
There are no alarms ringing today, just the quiet hum of a healthy system doing exactly what it was built to do. We will keep an eye on these small shifts in light and moisture as the day wears on, ensuring that by evening our herbs remain happy and well-balanced inside their greenhouse home.
