It was a steady, productive start in the greenhouse on September 7th. Between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM, the environment remained mild, with ambient temperatures averaging 21.7°C and humidity hovering at a comfortable 59%. The plants stayed slightly cooler than the air, with the basil, chilli, and oregano all maintaining root zone temperatures near 20°C.

As the sun rose, light levels climbed significantly from a dim 190 lux to a much brighter 1066 lux by 8:00 AM. Despite the increased light, soil moisture for the herbs remained perfectly saturated at 100%. This consistent hydration ensures the plants are well-supported as they transition into the peak hours of the day.

The greenhouse is looking active and vibrant. While the basil is bushy, a close look reveals a small amount of browning on one inner leaf. The most striking feature today is a bright orange chilli showing off a deep, mature color in the background. Some foreground leaves on the chilli plant appear somewhat pale, which we will monitor alongside our environmental readings.

With atmospheric pressure holding firm at 1010 hPa, the greenhouse remains a stable environment for late-season growth. We are pleased to see the chilli pepper reaching such a bold maturity and look forward to seeing how the rest of the herbs respond to the current light cycle.
