Sunday at Herb Hub 365 has been bright and warming. Greenhouse temperatures climbed steadily from a cool 18.02°C to a peak of 25.3°C, while humidity dipped from a morning high of 54.9% to a dry 38.7%. This shift has created a crisp, airy environment for the plants as they soak up the afternoon light.

The greenery appears lush and dense, though the bright light reveals some pale, yellowish tones in the basil leaves. Our chilli plant is making exciting progress; a firm green chilli is developing near the top right, and a splash of bright orange in the center signals another fruit is well on its way to ripening. Below the leaves, white irrigation tubing snakes through the base of the plants, ready to deliver essential hydration.

While the chilli plant is comfortably saturated at 100% soil moisture, we are keeping a close eye on the rest of the garden. The basil moisture levels began the day at a low 3.85% before dropping to 0% by midday, and the oregano sensors have reported 0% moisture throughout the entire observation period.

Despite these dry readings, the herbs are not yet showing obvious signs of wilting. However, the combination of rising heat and thirsty soil suggests an irrigation cycle is vital to keep the greenhouse thriving. We will continue to monitor the light levels, which averaged 298.81 lux today, to ensure our herbs remain resilient under the afternoon sun.
