July 28th: Summer Heat and Lush Greens

The greenhouse transitioned into a bright afternoon today as light levels peaked at 12,265 lux around midday. While the ambient air temperature climbed to a warm 29.19°C, the basil, chilli, and oregano remained remarkably cool. Individual sensors showed the plants maintaining a comfortable average of 22.5°C despite the surge in external heat.
As the sun reached its peak intensity, humidity within the hub dipped from a morning high of 54% to a drier 30.3%. However, the root systems stayed perfectly hydrated, with soil moisture readings holding steady at 100% across all monitored herbs. This balance of high light and consistent moisture is providing an ideal environment for mid-summer growth.
Visually, the hub is looking vibrant and full of life. The basil plants in the foreground are displaying large, deep green leaves, while a small green pepper is making steady progress near its support stake on the chilli plant. The overall foliage appears lush and healthy, suggesting the plants are making the most of the long daylight hours.
It has been a productive day for the Hub, and the herbs are showing excellent vigor. We will continue to monitor the environment as the evening approaches and temperatures begin to settle. For more live updates, stay tuned to herbhub365.com.
