It has been a productive morning in the greenhouse this July 28, 2026. The basil is showing impressive vigor with lush leaves reaching upward, while the chilli plant has officially sprouted a small green pepper. Supported by a sturdy wooden stake, the chilli looks healthy and well-established as we move through the peak of the summer season.

Environmental data shows a significant surge in morning light, climbing from a dim 275 lux at dawn to over 1685 lux by mid-morning. Despite the brightening sky, temperatures have remained remarkably stable, averaging around 24.37°C. The plants themselves are staying slightly cooler than the surrounding air, with the basil, chilli, and oregano all maintaining internal temperatures between 22°C and 23°C.

Hydration levels are currently optimal across the board. Soil sensors for all three herbs report 100% saturation, providing the root systems with plenty of fuel for this current growth spurt. While the air humidity has dipped from 53.7% to 36.7% as the day warms and the light intensifies, the consistent soil moisture ensures the plants remain resilient.

With air pressure holding steady at 1013 hPa and no system warnings, the greenhouse environment is perfectly balanced. This combination of high soil moisture and increasing natural light provides the ideal conditions for the chilli to develop and the basil to maintain its bushy, vibrant appearance.
