It has been a productive and sun-drenched day here at the greenhouse. As we moved through the morning of July 20th, the environment warmed up considerably, reaching a peak air temperature of 31.79°C. This climb in heat was accompanied by a significant increase in light, which peaked at over 22,000 lux, providing our herbs with plenty of energy for growth.

With the rising temperatures, we observed a steady drop in humidity, which dipped from a morning high of 45.7% down to 26.3% by midday. Despite the drier air, the plants remained well-regulated. Our internal plant sensors showed that the basil, chilli, and oregano stayed much cooler than the surrounding air, with their individual temperatures hovering in the low 20s.

The soil moisture levels remain very healthy across the board. The basil is currently sitting at a consistent 100% moisture level, while the chilli and oregano saw a slight boost in hydration toward the afternoon, ending the session at approximately 79% and 81% respectively. This suggests the irrigation system is keeping pace perfectly with the summer heat.

Looking at the latest snapshot, the growth is truly impressive. The basil in the foreground is showing lush, vibrant green leaves with excellent vigor. Most excitingly, a small green chilli has clearly formed on the staked plant in the center, a sure sign that the current light and temperature balance is hitting the mark. To the right, the oregano continues to fill out into a dense, healthy mound.
