It has been a bright and warm day here at Herb Hub 365. Our sensors captured a significant amount of activity, with light levels peaking at a brilliant 22,122.5 lux earlier in the day. This abundance of light brought a fair amount of heat into the greenhouse, with environmental temperatures climbing from a cool morning start of 17.59°C to a late afternoon high of 31.79°C.

The herbs seem to be drinking plenty of water to keep up with the summer heat. While the basil remained at a steady 100% soil moisture throughout the day, we noticed the chilli and oregano began the morning around 75% and 77% respectively. By the late afternoon, both had returned to 100% moisture, ensuring the root systems stayed cool and hydrated during the warmest hours.

Looking at the latest images, the basil is a standout with its vibrant, broad green leaves reaching upward with great vigor. The oregano in the neighboring pot is looking equally healthy, showing off a dense and bushy growth pattern. The humidity has remained relatively low, averaging around 34.56%, which seems to suit these Mediterranean varieties well as they soak up the afternoon sun.

The chilli plant is also showing exciting progress. Although some of the foreground leaves appear a slightly paler green under the bright light, a small, firm green chilli is clearly visible developing on the branch near the wooden support stake. As the sun begins to set and light levels drop toward 350.8 lux, the greenhouse is settling into a quiet, humid evening after a very productive day of growth.
