Greenhouse Update: June 20, 2026

It has been a bright, warm Saturday at Herb Hub 365. Greenhouse temperatures peaked at 33.94°C under intense light levels that reached a maximum of 9214.2 lux. As the day progressed, the glare softened to a gentle 630.8 lux by late afternoon, providing the plants a welcome reprieve after a high-energy morning.
The basil remains perfectly hydrated, maintaining a steady 100% soil moisture despite the heat. Our chilli plants are also performing well, averaging 85.55% moisture. Both varieties are showing remarkable resilience, staying lush and consistent in their respective pots even as the ambient air warmed.
We observed some dynamic shifts with the oregano, which saw soil moisture dip to 46.97% before rebounding to 85.81% by our final reading. This recovery occurred as the environment dried out, with humidity dropping from a damp morning high of 59.6% to 36.1% by the end of the day.
System water temperatures mirrored the ambient warmth, peaking at 33.88°C. While specific reservoir levels weren’t captured in this window, the stable soil moisture across the board suggests the greenhouse is balancing beautifully as we head into the evening.
