Midday Sun and Steady Growth at Herb Hub 365
The greenhouse has enjoyed a bright and productive morning this May 20th. As the sun climbed, our environmental sensors recorded a significant increase in light, peaking at 1516.7 lux just before midday. This boost in brightness was accompanied by a comfortable rise in ambient temperature, which reached a high of 24.12°C. Humidity has remained relatively low and stable, averaging around 42% throughout the morning hours.
Our plants are responding well to the warmth, with internal temperatures across the basil, chilli, and oregano beds staying very consistent near 21°C. The chilli plant started the day with a high soil moisture level of 54.07%, though this has naturally tapered off to 49.19% by the early afternoon as the plant drinks in the day’s light.
The basil is also showing steady progress, maintaining an average soil moisture of 46.76%. Meanwhile, the oregano remains our thirstiest resident; its moisture levels began at 39.47% this morning and have settled at 34.23%. While we didn’t capture specific reservoir volume data during this window, the steady soil readings suggest the irrigation system is keeping pace with the midday heat.
As we move into the later afternoon, the light has softened to 536.7 lux and the air pressure is holding steady at 1011 hPa. It is a calm, balanced day here at Herb Hub 365, and we are looking forward to seeing how the herbs settle in for the evening. For more live updates, stay tuned to herbhub365.com.
