The sun climbed higher today, pushing the ambient light well past 1,000 lux at its peak before settling back down as evening approached. Inside the greenhouse, the temperature climbed steadily with the day, starting around 22.5°C and warming up to a comfortable 23.7°C by the time the last sensor snapshot was taken. The air remained crisp and dry, with humidity hovering near 40%, a classic spring feel that our herbs seem to handle with ease.

Our three main companions reacted differently to the warmth. The basil and oregano warmed up noticeably, their pot temperatures rising to match the general room heat. In contrast, the chilli plant stayed a bit cooler, maintaining a lower temperature range. Most interestingly, the soil moisture patterns tell a story of distinct needs; while the chilli plant sat comfortably in damp soil over 70%, the basil and oregano experienced a gentle dry-down before recovering slightly by evening.

There were no alarms to speak of, just the steady rhythm of a healthy system. The water reservoir remained full, and the pressure stayed stable throughout the cycle. As the light levels dropped and the room cooled slightly, the basil showed a nice recovery in its soil moisture, ending the day with a healthy hydration level. It was a productive, calm afternoon where the plants did exactly what they do best while we monitored them from afar.
