Greenhouse Update: A Dry but Stable Morning

The morning sun broke over the Herb Hub 365 greenhouse, warming the air from a crisp 19.6°C to a comfortable 24°C by midday. Although humidity dipped to 33.8%, the plants are handling these dry conditions well. Steady pressure readings around 1000 hPa suggest a calm day with no sudden weather shifts expected.
Under the growing lights, the basil and oregano pots held their ground nicely. Soil moisture in the basil stayed between 41% and 43%, while the oregano remained well-hydrated at around 46%. The chilli plant, however, is showing signs of needing extra attention with soil moisture hovering near 33%. It is a good time to consider a light top-up to keep its roots happy as the day warms up.
As the afternoon progressed, light levels climbed to a bright 881 lux, pushing the internal temperature toward its peak. Despite the heat, the water reservoir maintained a stable temperature, ensuring the roots stay cool. This dry and bright environment is a classic spring morning that encourages growth, provided we keep an eye on the chilli’s thirst.
