It has been a productive day in the greenhouse this August 27th. We saw light levels climb from a dim morning start of 25.8 lux to a bright afternoon peak of 2059.2 lux, providing plenty of energy for the plants. The ambient temperature remained comfortable, averaging around 21.8°C, while humidity fluctuated from a damp 82% in the early hours to a more moderate 65% by the late afternoon.

Looking at the latest snapshot, the basil is looking particularly lush and vibrant. The broad, green leaves are filling out the frame, showing great vigor and a healthy sheen. Tucked behind the foliage, we can clearly see the chilli plant beginning to show off its colors, with a bright orange pepper standing out vividly against the greenery. A simple wooden stake is visible, providing necessary support as the plants continue to grow taller.

While the herbs look healthy to the eye, the soil sensors are telling a story of increasing thirst. The oregano moisture levels have dropped significantly throughout the day, falling from 22.48% this morning to a very dry 8.72% by the final reading. Our basil is also starting to dry out, moving from 46.17% down to 39.52%. We will need to monitor these levels closely to ensure the herbs stay hydrated as the day winds down.

The environment remains stable otherwise, with air pressure holding steady around 1005 hPa. Although we do not have reservoir data for this update, the overall health of the visible greenery suggests the current climate is suiting them well. We are keeping an eye on the chilli sensor, which has been reporting a 0% moisture reading, to determine if it requires a manual adjustment or a quick check-up.
