The greenhouse shifted significantly today, transitioning from a crisp, damp morning of 9.66°C and 76% humidity to a much warmer afternoon. By mid-day, temperatures climbed to 22.13°C while humidity dropped to a drier 45.3%. Light levels have also steadily increased, reaching a peak of 370 lux to fuel the day’s growth.

Visually, the plants look lush and full. The basil is particularly bushy with vibrant green leaves, though we are noticing some slight yellowing on the older foliage. The chilli plant is making excellent progress; a firm green pepper is clearly visible in the upper canopy, and a bright orange fruit has emerged near the center of the foliage.

Despite this vigorous appearance, our sensors are flagging a moisture imbalance. While the chilli plant remains fully hydrated at 100% soil moisture, the basil and oregano sensors have dropped to 0%. Given the rising heat and drier air, these pots require immediate attention to prevent the herbs from wilting.

Plant temperatures are currently tracking closely with the ambient air, with the oregano at 20°C and the basil at 19.75°C. While the greenhouse atmosphere remains active and productive, our priority for the remainder of the day is stabilizing moisture levels to ensure the herbs recover quickly from this dry spell.
