Greenhouse Update: August 22, 2026

The greenhouse warmed up beautifully this afternoon, with temperatures rising from a morning low of 17.97°C to a midday peak of 24.33°C. This steady climb was accompanied by a notable drop in humidity, which shifted from 50.9% down to a drier 38.2% by our latest check-in.
Our latest snapshot shows vibrant growth across the board. The basil in the foreground looks especially lush with its broad, healthy leaves, while the chilli plant is stealing the show with a bright orange pepper front and center. A smaller green pepper is also maturing nicely further back on the branch.
Light levels peaked at 437.5 lux today, providing ample energy for the herbs. However, we are tracking a decline in soil moisture for the basil, which dropped from 13.42% to 8.34%. Meanwhile, the chilli sensor remains at a constant 100%, and we are currently troubleshooting the oregano sensor as it is reporting a flat 0%.
With the air warming and the basil soil drying out, we will be monitoring hydration closely to ensure the herbs stay comfortable through the rest of the day. Stay tuned for more updates from Herb Hub 365.
