Greenhouse Update: August 19, 2026

It has been a productive, warm afternoon at Herb Hub 365. Temperatures under the glass peaked at 27.88°C, while humidity remained comfortable at just under 50%. Strong light levels, reaching a maximum of 3685.8 lux, provided plenty of energy for the herbs to soak up throughout the day.
The latest snapshot shows the basil continuing its vigorous growth, with broad, bright green leaves filling the foreground. The chilli plant is also showing impressive progress; a vibrant orange pepper is now clearly visible, hanging just below a smaller green fruit. While the foliage is dense, the chilli leaves are a slightly lighter green compared to the deep, rich tones of the neighboring basil.
Soil moisture varies significantly across the beds this afternoon. While the chilli soil remains fully saturated at 100%, the basil and oregano have dried out as the day progressed, dipping to 36.35% and 40.33% respectively. We will be keeping a close eye on these levels to ensure the herbs stay hydrated after such a bright, warm spell.
Overall, the greenhouse environment remains stable despite a minor drop in atmospheric pressure from 1001 to 998 hPa. With the plants clearly thriving in the summer heat, the hub is humming along nicely. You can follow our live progress and daily data updates at herbhub365.com.
