Greenhouse Afternoon Update: August 19, 2026

It has been a bright, warming day at Herb Hub 365. Since early morning, temperatures have climbed from 21.4°C to a midday peak of 25.8°C. This warmth is paired with a surge in light levels, reaching 3685.8 lux as the sun provides ample energy for the day’s growth.
As the greenhouse warmed, humidity dipped from 55% to 40.1%. The plants are transpiring actively; the basil looks particularly lush with broad, vibrant leaves, though a few near the center show a slight yellow-green tint.
Soil moisture levels reflect this midday activity. Basil moisture has decreased from 46.89% to 39.49%, while the oregano sits at 44.09%. In contrast, the chilli sensor remains at a constant 100%, indicating a very well-saturated root zone compared to its neighbors.
The afternoon sun highlights exciting progress on the chilli plants. A ripening pepper has turned a vivid orange, nestled deep within the foliage, while a smaller green chilli is maturing higher up. The greenhouse continues to show strong vigor as we move toward the evening.
