Vibrant Greens and Ripening Peppers

This August 17th has been a productive day in the greenhouse, with temperatures climbing from a morning low of 20.8°C to a peak of 26.6°C. Under the bright afternoon sun, which reached over 5,500 lux, the air remained comfortably dry with humidity averaging around 49%. These stable conditions have provided an ideal environment for the herbs to flourish.
The basil is looking exceptionally lush, with deep green leaves filling out the garden. The most striking development today is the progress of our chilli plant; a bright orange pepper is now clearly visible and ripening beautifully, while a smaller green pepper continues to mature further back in the foliage.
Soil moisture levels remain healthy across the pots, even as the plants drink steadily throughout the day. While the basil and oregano have settled into the 60% to 70% range, the chilli sensor continues to report a saturated 100% moisture level. The irrigation system is working well, with tubing snaking through the greenery to keep everything hydrated during these warmer hours.
Overall, the garden is showing great vigor in the late summer heat. With the air temperature currently sitting at 25.3°C and the plants maintaining a steady internal temperature of 23°C, the greenhouse is in a perfect state for growth. We will continue to monitor these levels as the day winds down.
