It has been a warm Friday at Herb Hub 365. Greenhouse temperatures peaked at 28.14°C this afternoon, climbing steadily from a morning low of 22.88°C. Humidity levels dried out as the day progressed, shifting from a damp 60.9% to a comfortable 48.7% by the late afternoon.

The chilli plant is today’s standout, with one pepper turning a vibrant orange while a smaller green fruit develops higher up. Despite this healthy appearance, the chilli’s soil is notably dry, averaging just 6.94% moisture today. A brief afternoon spike to 19.91% provided some relief, but we are keeping a close eye on its hydration to support the ripening fruit.

Nearby, the basil remains exceptionally lush, filling the frame with deep green, glossy leaves. Its soil moisture has stayed stable at 72%, a level that clearly suits its vigorous growth. The oregano is also well-hydrated, though its moisture levels dipped slightly from a morning high of 78.35% to 72.75% as the day progressed.

Light levels remained soft throughout the day, reaching a maximum of 79.2 lux. While the greenhouse environment is warm and the plants appear healthy, we will continue monitoring the chilli’s soil data to ensure it has enough moisture through the evening.
