The greenhouse warmed steadily through the morning, reaching a peak of 27.3°C by midday. As temperatures rose, humidity dropped significantly from 60.9% to a drier 37.4%. Though overall light levels remain modest, they have tripled since dawn, providing the herbs with a gentle, energizing boost as the day progresses.

Our basil and oregano are thriving in stable conditions, with soil moisture levels holding firm at 72% and 75% respectively. The chilli plant, however, showed some erratic sensor readings today, fluctuating between 0% and 46.8% before settling at 19.7%. We are keeping a close watch on its root zone to ensure it receives the consistent hydration it needs.

The latest snapshot reveals wonderful vitality across the planter. The basil in the foreground is exceptionally lush, sporting vibrant green leaves that appear healthy and firm. Peeking through the foliage, the chilli plant is showing off its progress with two distinct peppers: one a deep, waxy green and the other ripened into a brilliant, bright orange.

Despite the drier afternoon air, the plants show no signs of wilting and seem to be leaning into the summer warmth. The environment remains active and productive, and we will continue to monitor the chilli plant’s moisture balance as we head toward the evening.
