Greenhouse temperatures peaked at a balmy 30.6°C this Wednesday afternoon, a significant climb from the 24°C recorded earlier this morning. Humidity stayed on the drier side, averaging around 36.7%, which is typical for these warmer stretches as the air holds more moisture.

As the day winds down, light levels have dropped to a dim 2.5 lux. Despite the deep shadows in our latest snapshot, the basil in the foreground shows off broad, healthy green leaves. Tucked further back, a distinct splash of orange suggests our chillies are continuing to ripen well.

Our soil sensors show that the basil and oregano are sitting comfortably with moisture levels in the low 70s. However, we have a notable warning for the chilli plant; its moisture reading dropped sharply to 0% midday and has remained there. This likely indicates a sensor disconnection or a pot that requires immediate attention.

Aside from the chilli sensor alert, the environment remains stable. Air pressure held steady around 1018 hPa, and individual plant temperatures stayed slightly cooler than the surrounding air, averaging between 23°C and 25°C. We will be investigating the chilli pot shortly to ensure the plant is as healthy as it appears.
