It has been a day of significant environmental shifts at Herb Hub 365. After a cool, damp morning at 13.6°C and 63.8% humidity, the greenhouse warmed considerably, peaking at 31.77°C by the afternoon. This temperature climb was paired with a steady drop in humidity, which settled around 25% by our latest reading.

Our soil sensors recorded a much-needed drink for the chilli plant today. Starting the morning at a thirsty 7.6% moisture level, the chilli saw a significant boost to a healthier 39.25% by the afternoon. While the basil received a slight moisture increase, the oregano has been gradually drying out from a very saturated morning high of nearly 89%.

The plants are showing great vigor in the latest snapshot. The basil in the foreground is particularly impressive, displaying large, lush, bright green leaves. To the right, the chilli plant continues its progress; we can clearly see a ripening orange pepper hanging alongside a smaller green one. The vibrant foliage suggests the herbs are handling the afternoon heat and lower humidity quite well.

Despite the dry air during the temperature peak, light levels remained steady, averaging around 770 lux throughout the day. The herbs seem to be thriving in these conditions, and with soil moisture levels now more balanced for the chillies, the garden is in a stable position heading into the evening.
