Afternoon Heat and Growth at Herb Hub 365

As of August 4th, the greenhouse has warmed significantly. After starting at a mild 24.38°C this morning, temperatures climbed to a midday peak of 33.08°C. This heat has been paired with intense light levels reaching 12,437 lux, providing our herbs with a massive surge of energy.
While the rising heat caused humidity to dip from 57.4% to 28.5%, our plants remain well-hydrated. Soil moisture for the basil, chili, and oregano is holding steady at 100%. This consistent watering allows the plants to stay several degrees cooler than the surrounding air, helping them thrive despite the drier conditions.
The latest snapshot shows encouraging progress across the hub. Our basil is vibrant and lush, while the chili plant is developing a firm green pepper near its support stake. Despite the high afternoon temperatures, the foliage remains vigorous and shows no signs of wilting.
We are continuing to monitor the environment as we hit these daily temperature highs. The combination of strong light and perfect soil moisture is proving to be a winning formula for productivity. We’ll keep a close eye on these conditions to ensure the herbs stay healthy through the rest of the day.
