It has been a productive Friday here at Herb Hub 365. As we move through the afternoon of July 24th, the greenhouse has warmed significantly, with temperatures climbing from a cool 18°C this morning to a peak of 28.5°C. This rise in heat brought a natural dip in humidity, which moved from 60.5% down to a comfortable 44% by the evening.

The herbs have made the most of today’s strong light levels, which reached a maximum of 4443 lux. Though the sun is beginning to fade, the basil remains exceptionally lush and vibrant. Its bright green leaves show great vigor, reaching upward and soaking in the last of the day’s energy.

One of the most exciting developments is the progress of our chilli plant. A healthy green pepper is now clearly visible and developing well amidst the foliage. Beneath the surface, root zone temperatures for the basil, chilli, and oregano have stayed consistent at around 20°C to 21°C, providing a stable foundation for this mid-summer growth spurt.

Hydration remains perfect, with soil moisture holding steady at 100% across all zones. This consistent water supply is likely why the foliage looks so healthy and firm in the afternoon light. Despite a slight drop in atmospheric pressure to 1010 hPa, conditions remain ideal as we head into a quiet evening.
