Midsummer Momentum at Herb Hub 365

On July 22nd, the greenhouse experienced a significant shift in conditions as the day progressed. We started the morning with a soft glow of 321 lux, which surged to a bright peak of 11,342.5 lux by the afternoon. This increase in light drove ambient temperatures to a warm high of 26.58°C, while humidity naturally dipped from a comfortable 60.8% to 41.1%.
Despite the drier afternoon air and rising heat, the irrigation system is keeping pace. Soil moisture sensors for the basil, chilli, and oregano have remained steady at 100%. The herbs are clearly well-hydrated, soaking up the summer warmth and making the most of the long daylight hours.
The visual progress is incredibly rewarding. Our basil plants are showing vibrant green leaves and strong vertical growth, while the oregano continues to look lush and bushy in its corner. Most excitingly, a small, bright green chilli pepper has emerged on the vine and is developing beautifully.
The general vigor of the greenery, supported by a wooden stake for the taller stems, indicates a thriving environment. As we head into the evening, the system remains stable, ensuring our plants have everything they need to continue their healthy midsummer climb.
