The greenhouse saw a significant temperature surge today, peaking at 35.8°C just before midday. Despite the spike in ambient air, our basil, chilli, and oregano plants stayed relatively cool, averaging around 20°C. This suggests the microclimate immediately surrounding the foliage is doing an excellent job of buffering the summer intensity.

Morning light levels were particularly intense, climbing above 18,000 lux. As the sun peaked, humidity dipped to a low of 24.6%, eventually recovering to 37% by the afternoon. These shifts indicate a dynamic but manageable environment for the herbs as the light softened toward the end of the day.

Soil moisture remains consistent at 100% across all varieties, providing the hydration necessary to withstand the high temperatures. The basil looks especially vibrant in the latest snapshot, showing off sturdy, bright green leaves full of life and vigor.

A highlight of the day is the clear development of a small green chilli pepper hanging from the central vine. It is a rewarding sight alongside the oregano, which is growing into a dense, healthy cluster. Overall, the Hub remains productive and stable as we head into the evening.
