It has been a bright and active day here at the greenhouse. Our sensors recorded a significant amount of light, peaking at 18,693 lux during the brightest part of the day before tapering off to 380 lux this afternoon. The air temperature reflected this summer energy, climbing from a morning low of 21.35°C to a warm peak of 35.8°C, eventually settling at a comfortable 26.59°C by the final reading.

Visually, the plants are looking incredibly vibrant and full of life. The most exciting development is on the chilli plant, where a small, firm green pepper is clearly visible and developing well. The basil continues to impress with its lush, bright green foliage and sturdy stems reaching toward the light. In the lower corner of the frame, the oregano appears dense and healthy, rounding out a very productive day of growth.

Despite the high afternoon temperatures, our hydration levels have remained perfectly stable. Soil moisture for the basil, chilli, and oregano held steady at 100% throughout the entire period, ensuring the plants stayed well-watered during the heat. Humidity levels fluctuated between 24.6% and 49.7%, averaging around 38.8%, which provided a balanced environment for the herbs to thrive.

The individual plant temperatures stayed slightly cooler than the peak ambient air, with the basil and oregano averaging around 22°C. Everything in the hub looks vigorous and well-maintained as we head into the evening. We will continue to keep a close eye on the environment to ensure these ideal growing conditions persist through the night.
