July 17th began with a quiet transition as our sensors tracked the shift from dawn into the early morning hours. Between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM, the greenhouse warmed from a cool 17.87°C to a comfortable 20.86°C. As the sun climbed, light levels rose steadily, reaching a peak of 486.7 lux by the end of the session.

Soil moisture levels varied across our herb varieties. While the basil averaged a healthy 62.32%, the chilli remained fully saturated at 100%. We noticed some erratic readings from the oregano sensor, which spiked briefly before settling; we’ll be checking the probe’s placement soon to ensure more consistent data.

Despite the soft morning light, the latest snapshot shows exceptionally vibrant greenery. The basil in the foreground is displaying lush, deep green leaves, while the central chilli plant—firmly supported by its wooden stake—shows off a healthy, developing pepper hanging prominently from a branch.

With humidity averaging 57.6% and atmospheric pressure holding steady at 1014 hPa, it is a promising start to the day. Both the chilli and basil are showing great vigor as they head into the brighter afternoon hours.
