Afternoon Warmth at the Hub

It has been a bright and active morning here at Herb Hub 365. As the sun climbed on July 14th, the greenhouse temperature rose steadily from 18.76°C at dawn to a peak of 25.47°C by early afternoon. This warming trend coincided with a significant increase in light levels, which reached 101.7 lux to provide plenty of energy for the day’s growth.
While the air warmed, humidity levels naturally dipped from a morning high of 57.6% to a drier 45%. Despite this shift, soil moisture remains very healthy across the board. The basil is currently fully saturated at 100%, while the oregano and chilli plants are holding steady at 91.03% and 86.28% respectively, showing only minor decreases as they transpire in the afternoon heat.
The vitality of the herbs is evident in our latest snapshot. The basil in the foreground is exceptionally lush with deep green, glossy leaves, while the chilli plant displays a prominent, healthy green pepper hanging clearly from its stem. Nearby, the oregano is filling out nicely, creating a dense carpet of small leaves at the base of the container.
The environment remains stable with a consistent atmospheric pressure of 1021 hPa. Though the air has become drier as the temperature peaks, the plants appear vigorous and well-hydrated. We will continue to monitor these conditions into the evening to ensure the herbs stay comfortable.
