Afternoon Warmth and a Growing Harvest

Today at Herb Hub 365, we saw a significant climb in temperature as the morning progressed. Starting at a cool 19.43°C, the greenhouse environment reached a peak of 31.05°C by midday. This spike in warmth coincided with a surge in light levels, which hit a maximum of 11,723.3 lux, providing plenty of energy for the plants during the brightest part of the day.
As the heat rose, the humidity levels took a noticeable dip, falling from a morning high of 53.5% down to 37.3%. Despite the drier air, soil moisture remains very stable across the board. The basil continues to sit at a fully saturated 100%, while the chilli and oregano are maintaining healthy levels in the mid-80s, ensuring the roots stay well-hydrated through the afternoon warmth.
Visually, the star of the show today is the developing green chilli pepper, which is clearly visible hanging among the leaves. The chilli plant is supported by a wooden stake and shows a slightly lighter green hue in its foliage compared to its neighbors. To the left, the basil is looking exceptionally lush and vibrant, filling out its side of the container with dense, healthy growth.
In the background, the oregano is spreading nicely with its characteristic small, rounded leaves. The overall vigour of the greenhouse is excellent, with no warnings to report. We will continue to monitor the conditions as the evening approaches and the temperatures begin their natural decline.
