A Bright July Morning at the Hub

The greenhouse saw a productive start on July 6th, with conditions warming steadily throughout the morning. Between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, temperatures rose from a comfortable 22.4°C to a peak of 25.6°C. As the air warmed, humidity dipped from 56.6% to a crisp 45.7%, creating an ideal environment for the herbs to breathe.
Light levels shifted significantly as the sun climbed, jumping from 395 lux to a bright 1294 lux by mid-morning. This burst of light is reflected in the health of the plants: the basil in the foreground shows off lush, vibrant green leaves, while the chilli plant continues to make progress. A prominent, glossy green pepper now hangs from the chilli’s stem, though its upper leaves appear a bit paler than the surrounding foliage.
Soil moisture remains well-regulated across the different species. The basil is currently sitting at a fully saturated 100% moisture level, while the chilli plant remains steady and well-hydrated at 83%. The oregano, tucked further back, is the thirstiest of the group, with its moisture levels gradually tapering down toward 50% by the end of the observation period.
Overall, the greenhouse remains a stable environment with atmospheric pressure holding steady at 1013 hPa. The combination of rising morning light and consistent hydration is keeping the hub in great shape as we head into the height of summer.
