Afternoon Glow at Herb Hub 365

It has been a bright and warm day in the greenhouse this June 22nd. Our sensors captured a significant climb in temperature, reaching a peak of 31.06°C during the heat of the day before settling back to a pleasant 25.91°C by the late afternoon. The air has been relatively dry, with humidity averaging around 37% and dropping from a morning high of 51.7% to about 40% as the sun progressed.
The light levels were quite strong today, hitting a maximum of 8,211.7 lux. Despite the external warmth, the plants themselves stayed remarkably cool. The basil, chilli, and oregano all maintained leaf temperatures between 20°C and 23°C. Interestingly, the water temperature in the system saw a broader range, starting at 20.75°C and warming up to nearly 28°C by the afternoon, reflecting the sunny conditions inside the hub.
Soil moisture levels show that our irrigation is keeping pace, though some herbs are thirstier than others. The basil remains fully saturated at 100% moisture, while the chilli has held steady, ending the day at 79.37%. We observed the most movement in the oregano pot; it began the morning at a lush 85.94% moisture but dipped down to 71.49% by late afternoon.
Overall, the greenhouse remains a stable environment with atmospheric pressure holding steady around 1023 hPa. We are keeping an eye on the oregano’s drying trend to see if it needs a little extra attention this evening, but for now, the Hub is looking healthy and vibrant.
