Sunday Afternoon Greenhouse Update

The greenhouse enjoyed a bright, warm transition into the afternoon this June 21st. Sensors tracked a steady climb in air temperature from a morning low of 19.23°C to a midday peak of 26.96°C. Humidity remained stable and comfortable for the plants, averaging 51.46% throughout the session.
Light levels saw a significant boost as the sun climbed, hitting a maximum of 4127.5 lux around noon. This increase in energy warmed the water temperature to 26.81°C, while atmospheric pressure held remarkably consistent between 1022 and 1023 hPa. These steady conditions have provided a calm, productive environment for the herb beds.
Soil moisture readings currently show varying needs across the different crops. While the basil remains fully saturated at 100%, the chilli and oregano are beginning to dry out as they work through the day’s heat. The chilli moisture dipped slightly to 80.92%, but the oregano showed the most movement, dropping from a morning high of 77.65% to 65.37% by the afternoon.
The plants are maintaining healthy internal temperatures, with the oregano reaching 24.06°C and the basil and chilli trailing just behind. We will continue to monitor the oregano’s moisture levels as the day progresses to ensure it stays within its ideal range during this warm spell.
