Morning Transitions at Herb Hub 365

On the morning of June 20, 2026, the greenhouse experienced a steady awakening between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM. As dawn broke, ambient light levels climbed from a soft 288.3 lux to a bright 870 lux, signaling the start of a productive day for photosynthesis. The air temperature followed this upward trend, warming from a minimum of 22.85°C to a comfortable 24.26°C.
This rise in temperature brought a natural decrease in humidity, which settled at 50.8% after starting the morning at 59.6%. Atmospheric pressure remained remarkably stable, hovering consistently between 1011 and 1012 hPa. These balanced conditions provide a steady environment for the herbs to transition into the peak daylight hours.
Soil moisture levels show our basil is thriving in damp conditions at a consistent 100%. Meanwhile, the chilli and oregano are moving through their typical morning drying cycles. The chilli moisture dipped slightly to 82.29%, while the oregano showed a more active shift, dropping from 66.13% to 62.25% as it utilized the morning’s resources.
The plants remained slightly cooler than the surrounding air, with the chilli maintaining a refreshed average of 22.05°C. Interestingly, the system’s water temperature rose faster than the ambient air, climbing from 23.25°C to nearly 25°C by 8:30 AM. We continue to monitor these subtle shifts as the greenhouse settles into the summer heat.
